For the first time, Pillsbury's 49th Annual Bake-Off Contest is going to be choosing winners without actually holding a bake-off. Enter your original recipe that is easy to prepare, only requires a few simple ingredients, and which uses a qualifying Pillsbury product and you could win a prize pack that includes $50,000 in cash, a trip to NYC, and $10,000 in appliances. Plus, Meijer fans can win $10,000 in store gift cards and other prizes will also be awarded. This sweepstakes has expired.

You are not eligible to enter if you are a professional in the food industry or have been in the past, or if you were enrolled in culinary school between August 7, 2018 and March 31, 2019 or if you have graduated from one, or you have been a finalist in three previous Bakeo-Off Contests or if you have been a grand-prize winner in a previous Bake-Off contest.
To enter, create an original recipe that uses not more than eight ingredients in total (with some exceptions, see the rules for details) and which uses at least one of the featured products (see the rules for details). The prep time cannot exceed 30 minutes. You must also include an essay of 2,000 characters or less describing your personal connection to the recipe.
Recipes must fall into one of the following categories: Cozy Weekend Breakfasts, Appetizers for Any Party, Winning Weeknight Dinners, and Sweet + Simple Desserts.
Five finalists per category will be chosen by judges, with the recipe counting as 70% of the final score and the essay as 30%. Judges are looking for taste, appearance, originality, and crowd appeal for the recipe scoring and how the recipe ties to the story, how the story brings to life a family value, tradition, or memory; and passion for the story judging.
The entry with the highest score who picked Meijer as their preferred grocery store and who lives near a Meijer location will receive the Meijer prize. The highest-scoring entry in each category will be the category winner, while the highest score overall will be the grand-prize winner.
