Philadelphia Premium Outlets is an open-air shopping mall with more than 140 name-brand outlet stores, designer factory stores, and restaurants, as of 2018. The outlet mall is less than 40 miles northwest of downtown Philadelphia and less than 10 miles from the towns of Pottstown and Royersford.
Open from 10 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m.–7 p.m. Sunday, the mall features stores including Calvin Klein Underwear, Kate Spade New York, Under Armour, Michael Kors, American Eagle Outfitters, Haggar Clothing, Ugg Australia, Vera Bradley, Kay Jewelers, and Theory.
Philadelphia Premium Outlets opened in 2007 and underwent an expansion in 2008. Although it is an open-air mall, there are covered shopping areas.
Food and Dining
The mall has several options available for those looking for something to eat during their shopping trip. Places to get a meal or just a snack or a beverage include Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips, Asian, Chao, Auntie Anne's, Bananas, BeaverTails, Green Leaf's, Ruby Tuesday, South Philly Cheesesteaks & Fries, Starbucks, Subway, Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen, and Wendy's.
Directions, Parking, and Transportation
Located at 18 West Lightcap Road in Limerick, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Premium Outlets can be reached via Route 422 at the Saratoga exit. The outlet mall website provides detailed directions from Philadelphia, Reading, Allentown, Lancaster, Harrisburg, Northern New Jersey, New York City, and Delaware.
Daily bus service is available from Route 93 and from the Pottstown area. The mall bus stop is located outside Bakers Plaza. Several limousines and taxi services are available in the area, and valet parking is offered on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m.–9 p.m. It is near Under Armour in Lot P.
Coupons and Sales
The Philadelphia Premium Outlets regularly offers sales and other special deals that can be worth checking out before visiting the mall. The mall also posts news and information on its website about center-wide events, such as seasonal sidewalk sales and special events after Thanksgiving. The free VIP Shoppers Club has exclusive store coupons just for members. Discounts also are available for those planning group tours of 10 or more people.
Veterans and members of the military and their families also can receive additional savings all year with the free Savings Passport. The only requirement is showing a military identification at the information center.
The Surrounding Area
Those staying in the area have options for dining and recreation in the surrounding community. Nearby attractions include Valley Forge National Historic Park, Valley Forge Casino Resort, Elmwood Park Zoo, the Philadelphia Zoo, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, among others.
If shoppers would like something other than mall fare when dining, nearby restaurants include the Copperfield Inn, Cutillo's, and Sly Fox Brewing Company. Those staying overnight can find accommodations at Valley Forge Casino Resort, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and Courtyard by Marriott.
