Save Money on Easter Baskets
Filling an Easter basket doesn't have to empty your wallet. Use these tips to save on all your Easter basket buys.
Buy each of your kids a nice Easter basket. Then, reuse them year after year. It'll save you money, and become a nice tradition for your family. My kids really look forward to setting their baskets out for the Easter Bunny.
Like Easter grass? It can be reused, too. Just tuck it away till next year.
Coupon for Candy
Cut Easter candy coupons out of the paper when you see them (or print them online). Then, watch for opportunities to combine them with a store coupon or sale. With a little patience, you should be able to score several pieces of free candy for your baskets this way.
Shop a Year Ahead
Easter merchandise usually goes 50% off the day after Easter, and plummets from there. Shop the clearance racks for next year's Easter goodies, and you'll never have to pay full price for Easter basket items again. Just be sure to put your goodies somewhere you'll remember. You won't save anything, if you can't find your stash when Easter rolls around.
Tip: Don't be afraid to buy next year's candy during the after-holiday sales. If you check the expiration dates, you'll probably find they fall well after next Easter.
